McCoy Spirit of ’76 Bean Pot

Vintage McCoy pottery “Spirit of ’76” patriotic bean pot or cookie jar featuring a bald eagle with outstretched wings over crossed American flags. Finished in McCoy’s classic brown and cream glaze with dual side handles and a wide-mouth form, this piece dates to the Bicentennial era and was made in the USA. The interior is marked with museum reference text related to the “Carved Wooden Eagle” at the National Gallery of Art. Measures approximately 7 inches tall and about 8 inches wide including handles. Condition is very good with no cracks or chips noted; lid is missing, and pricing reflects the absence of the lid.
